Whatever the reason that made you stop and reading this, it means that you somehow feel a longing to know how to find God.
I start by proposing you a mental exercise with me.
If God is God (I have no doubts, I just want to build a logic with a premise to reach the conclusion), continuing, if He is who He claims to be, the Almighty, He is self-sufficient, possessing all power, all science and ability to be everywhere with His presence. isn't he ?
Assuming this idea that all attributes are infinitely superior to the human being, we easily understand that God is above our ability to perceive.
I'm going to tell you a story to illustrate. Before my sister moved to Texas with her family, we used to have lunch together, with my mother and nephews, and whenever my mother made fish for a meal she played with the kids: "Look what Grandma caught today," and they believed.
Now, these days my sister told me that while making fish for lunch, where they've lived now,my nephew exclaimed, "oh, Our grandmother is awesome," because he thought that my mother had fished and sent them from Brazil to the US.
Human perception can be compared to childhood understanding, seeing reality, but not fully understanding.
In this sense, if an adult does not explain, the kids would remain in the limitation of the truth. Then we can guess that if God does not reveal Himself, we cannot see the whole truth.
If He does not want to reveal Himself, who can force Himself to do so, and why would He desire to show Himself for a mere corrupt, limited, and so faulty human being?
Just a generous attitude of his part could let a mere human realize your existence.
A Roman Jew named Paul converted to the gospel of Christ, when he was in Athens in his golden time, argued:
"The God who made the world and all that is in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made by man's hands; neither is he served by men, as though he needed anything; for he himself gives to all life, and breath, and all things; and of one blood he made all the generation of men, to dwell on the face of all the earth, determining the times that were appointed before, and the limits of his dwelling; that they might seek the Lord, if by touching, they might find him; though he is not far from each one of us; for in him we live, and move, and we are; as also some of your poets have said, "For we are also his generation."
We, therefore, being the generation of God, must not look that the divinity is like gold, or silver, or stone carved by man's craft and imagination.
But God, having disregarded the times of ignorance, now proclaims to all men, and everywhere, that they should repent; for he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world with righteousness, through the man whom he has determined; and he has assured all of it by raising him from the dead. "- Acts 17:24-31
God left indelible marks on our world about his existence. But to realize it is necessary first to take a step of faith and leave pride aside, yes, it is intellectual pride that first requires a proof of its existence, which prevents us from approaching.
In his mercy still warns that one day he will judge the world, because he was not far away so that the human being could not find him.
In a letter to the Hebrew Christians, the author states:
Without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who approach Him need to believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Hebrews 11.6
Steps to find God

The first step to getting closer to God is to believe that He exists.

The second step is to "search", this word in the original has meaning to seek, who seeks, diligently and carefully God.
If indeed there is a sincere desire in his heart to know God, He will reward that search.

The third step in this journey is the path itself, as Jesus once said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - Gospel of John-14
If your heart is not so plundered with pride, you will be able to receive the seed of truth and know the way to approach God.
God Himself has revealed Himself throughout human history, to men and women who have left aside pride, have taken a step of faith in God’s existence, and have known Him personally. As a Father awaited by new children in his family
Since early times, God has revealed Himself in many ways, as it is written:
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrew letter Chap 1:1-3
He's not far away, he revealed himself in Jesus. As is written, "But when a man turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. " Left your pride aside, turn your heart to Jesus and let God open your understanding, he's waiting for you!
